Bincho Yakitori (16 Old Compton Street, London, London, W1D 4TL)

Japanese style food is hardly ever cheap, and neither is this. This, however, was absolutely delecious. Worth a return. Their Japanese-themed cocktails are yummy too. Only gripe would be that the waitresses' English was quite thickly accented, making it hard for English-speakers sometimes to understand what they were saying.

Mint Leaf (Suffolk Place, Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4HX)

Great food, and good wine and cocktails. Expensive, though. Watch out for a special deal.

Gifto's Lahore Karahi (162-164 The Broadway, London, UB1 1NN)

Absolutely delicious food recommended to me by several British people of Indian extraction. It is a fair hike out in Southall but well worth it. Typical ‘eatery’ style dining – don't come looking for fine dining. But do come if you're looking for top-notch subcontinental food. Can't wait to go back!
