Canton Arms (177 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1XP)

How disappointing. Restaurant was virtually empty on a bank holiday Saturday yet food still took over 1 hour to appear. The Steak Pie (dish of the day) was over salted and suet crust pastry was rock hard. An over priced unappetising outing

Bocca di Lupo (12 Archer Street, London, W1D 7BB)

After several attempts to secure a reservation at much lauded Bocca, I finally managed to get one – what a huge disappointment. Cursory service in a virtually empty late lunchtime room. Over rated and very over priced

Almeida (30 Almeida Street, London, N1 1AD)

Don't go at lunchtime – in fact, dont go full stop. There were 6 people (including us) in the restaurant. Service was chaotic, maitre d' surly. A simple medium rare grilled steak took 50 minutes from ordering to arrive – had obviously been sitting under lights. It was tasteless and over priced. Never again!
