Fabrizio (30 St Cross Street, London, EC1N 8UH) Fantastic Italian restaurant! I've been several times and never had less than excellent experience. It mixes the warmth of “mamma's cooking” with clean flavours, consistency and delicate combination of ingredients of haute cuisine. Just perfect. The chef makes his own bread and pasta and every dish has his personal touch with great attention to detail. The portions are generous, meat is tender, pasta al dente and the flavours blow your mind. On top of the that, the bill is credit crisis – friendly. The crowds tend to flock in around lunchtime, and the simple decor reflects this. Do not let that put you off! The food is fantastic so take your lover, best friend or even your Italian mother to this place (not at the same time maybe).
