Prezzo Kingston (Unit 6A, The Rotunda, Clarence Street, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT14) The service at the Kingston branch of Prezzo is diabolical. We decided to give it a second chance (the last time our food was cold by the time it reached us – after a very long wait – in an almost empty restaurant). This time it was a lot busier so we could not understand why there was only TWO members of staff waiting on tables/in total. My nephew (who is 3) was given an adult menu, quickly replaced by a children's one minus manners (and stickers). We enquired as to how long our food might be – 15 minutes was the overly confident response. 40 minutes after our starter we were still waiting for our main course – which only materialised after we asked where it was. (The chef hadn’t even started cooking it) It did arrive warm, although I am surprised given that we watched both members of staff walk past the same food ready and waiting to be served at least 7 times before doing so. We timed how long it was sat there. 6 minutes. We received a complimentary round of drinks when really all we really wanted was our food – we were starving by the time it arrived. Requests for bills weren't ignored – they just weren't answered, resorting in diners having to go up to the bar to pay. We won’t be going back unless we find out the service has improved. Given its location I'd advise anyone going to the cinema, 100 paces away, to give Prezzo a wide berth if they're intending to grab a quick bite to eat pre-movie.
