We visited Galvin Bistro de Luxe with some trepidation having seen the reviews on other websites, but nonetheless the menu on the website looked like it would be an excellent treat.

After a long wait, one of the surly staff deined to seat us. Without subjecting readers to a bite-by-bite commentary on the service I can report it is every bit as awful as others have attested. Order taking, water, wine and even clean cutlery was all something we had to battle to elicit.

I should mention at this point that the food was indeed good. But the truly awful nature of the service and atmosphere made the whole experience far from enjoyable.
