Bluebird Café (350 King's Road, London, SW3 5UU)

The setting is lovely but the food was distinctley average. I had a chicken caesar salad which consisted of four very small pieces of chicken on a few dishevelled lettuce leaves. Not what you'd expect for £12.50! My partner had a very small burger and cold chips. The staff were very nice but overall it was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't eat there again.

The Lobster Pot (3 Kennington Lane, London, SE11 4RG)

The 8 course taster menu sounded great, unfortunately due to the unbelievably slow service we never got to try it! We waited for an hour (for oysters) before paying for our wine and walking out. We weren't even offered a drnk or even an apology. This restaurant is a classic example of style over substance and I wouldn't recommend it or go back.
