Inamo St James (4-12 Regent Street, London, SW1Y 4PE)

I am fond of Inamo in Wardor Street already but I was blown away with its new restaurant, an altogether bigger & more beautiful version of the original at the bottom of Regents Street. Felt like we were walking into a glamourous LA restaurant without the OTTness. Fantastic inventive design with sliding partitions, curved walls, structured ceilings housing the projectors that work the interactive tables. The food was outstanding, served swiftly (within 15mins as promised ) and, I think, amazing value for the quality. The Hot Stone Rib Eye alone will have me and my friends returning. Or theThai Basil Pana Cotta. Or the Miso Grilled Seabass. Yum. One of my guest is a vegetarian who doesn't eat mushrooms and she was delighted about the range of dishes she could eat. The service was friendly and attentive and it was very busy! Great atmosphere too! Didn't try any of the cocktails but the ones whizzing by looked very tempting. We enjoyed a bottle (or so) of very good Viognier and a soft Spanish red. I've already booked again.

Inamo (134-136 Wardour Street, London, W1F 8ZP)

A girl friend and I went here for a pre night on the town on Saturday night and it was a brilliant, fun way to start the evening! The techy, self order table top menu was interesting and a great way to peruse the menu. The food was delicious and presented in a most beautiful way. The waiter was exquisitely nice and polite, and took the time to properly explain every dish served and matched wines with our orders. Stand out dishes was the Fish Buri Bop (cook it on a hot plate to your liking!) and the Black Cod. Even though the ordering is placed firmly in your hand the staff are professional and knowledgeble enough to guide you too. The atmosphere was buzzy with great music and the place packed as to be expected in restaurant on Wardour Street on a Saturday. We spent around £39 per head all in, which felt reasonable for the quality of the food and and service.

Overall, highly recommended! – I'll be back!
