Hasn’t rated any restaurants this year.

The Hide (39-45 Bermondsey Street, London, London, SE1 3XF)

Another gem on Bermondsey st! Though the decor leaves a little to be desired, The Hide is hip, classy and not as pretentious as some of the other eateries on the street. It might look a like another overpriced joint but a decent bottle of wine will set you back less than the undrincable house wine of it's main comepetitors on the stretch. The sharer platters are great for an apero in the early evening and the selection of beers is quite impressive.

The Well (180 St John Street, London, London, EC1V 4JY)

A little overpriced but always worth it for a long lunch or to wind down after work. The staff have always been really freindly and are always one step ahead of you when it comes to replenishing the empties. Typically serving hearty classics, the menu is a winning recipe of rustic dishes and british favourites.
If the new cocktail night dowstairs in the deapths of the well is not to your taste (like me), then head for the outdoor tables with a bottle on ice – always a winner!

Skylon (bar) (Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX)

Mouth watering menus and spectacular views by night, Skylon offers superb wines served by their own someliers (mostly beatiful and refined french ladies) that are more interested in the wine complimeting you meal that making you spend your hard earned cash. Skylon is luxury at it's best. Available for private functions, this is the place to go for treating 300+ guests to a fabulous evening overlooking the river. The events team are disgustingly helpful!

Inamo (134-136 Wardour Street, London, W1F 8ZP)

Great food and affordable bubbles with a side dish of battleships to fill the gaps when the conversation has dried out… Be gone with pushy waiters and order you own with the interactive menu projected onto the table – the only dilema is wether or not one should add a service charge for a service that isn't technically provided!
