The Kitchin (78 Commercial Quay, Leith, Edinburgh, Central Scotland, EH6 6LX) Isn't it just wonderful when you can't find one single thing that would have made your dining experience better… That was the case when my son and I visited The Kitchin to celebrate his 40th birthday. Cocktails in the sunshine set the tone for two and a half hours of sheer delight. We chose the lunch menu of the day. Each course, exquisitely presented, was greeted with “OOhs and Ahs” when tasted (reminiscent of a scene from “When Harry Met Sally”!! We chose to have a wine package which gave us a different wine with each course. The wines were superb and served and described beautifully, adding to the whole experience. The overall level of service was was spot on and unobtrusive. While its the most expensive meal I have ever had (taking the drinks into account), it was absolutely worth every penny. A superb venue to celebrate a special occasion.
