Luc's Brasserie (17-22 Leadenhall Market, London, EC3V 1LR) Luc's seems to be improving again after a while in the doledrums; which the Zinc Bar is nothing to write home about, the food is now back to its French best, with excellent steaks easily a match for those offered by the likes of Chez Gerard. Waitresses seem to come from all points of the compass except France, but they are reasonably efficient and the Maitre D' keeps them in check. It feels as if there are a few too many tables for the available space, but it all adds to the lively but sophisticated atmosphere.
