We recently moved into the area and decided to give The Rose a try, although we were slightly apprehensive as it had once been a decidedly average local pub.

Very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is relaxed but bubbly and fun. The staff are excellent: wellinformed on the menu, friendly and enthusiastic. Cooking was of a good standard within the expectations of a local pub, with a fair selection that was good value for money. Wine list was not massive but well selected and again good value. Also a good selection of beers.
