The Abbeville (67-69 Abbeville Road, London, London, SW4 9JW)

The Abbeville is a lovely local pub with great food, classic design and lots of character! The service is good, the food is very tasty and varies regularly – they also seem to use really good ingredients. The burger is huge with some of the best chips in South West London! They also have a good selection of beers and wines of all types. You should save room for dessert as they are usually delicious. All in all a great “gastro” pub without being stylish, poncy or too expensive. It does get busy most nights, even early in the week, so I always book a table to make sure.

Tsunami (5-7 Voltaire Road, London, SW4 6DQ)

Tsunami is a fantastic local restaurant – although the prices are West End – where the food is always the best quality I have ever found. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and never feels too cluttered or noisy. The service is fine, if a little slow at busy times. The food turnaround time is good and the dishes tend to be staggered well so you don't get all the dishes at once.

It is a pricey treat of a place, perfect for a special occasion, with the the best quality sushi that I have found in London, without the poncy atmosphere!
