The Westbury (34 Kilburn High Road, London, NW6 5UA) Great DJ’s, excellent bar food & great service is what you usually get from The Westbury. Armed with this information passed on by a good friend, I decided to celebrate my birthday there. Having lived around Maida Vale I had never before stepped in to Kilburn territory & was pleasantly surprised to discover a bar with the calibre of those in the West End! Right from the moment I picked up the phone to inquire about a potential booking right to an after party feedback enquiry, the process was smooth & faultless. I decided to pop in to the bar to have a quick look around before I confirmed my booking & was taken up with the amazing interior. The wallpaper, the comfy seating areas & the lovely lampshades (yes, even the lampshades) gave the place a quirky, stylish & yet comfortable vibe. I did not initially know if to book a booth or the Priory Room, but on advice from their bookings manager I decided to go for the Priory Room as I was having about 60 guests. The room had its own bar & we were told that there was a night called Bad Intentions on that particular Friday night which played all the best party tunes. What’s better was that there was no hire fee for the room! We pre- ordered some of the amazing sounding canapés from the menu & kept our fingers crossed for the night. I would be downplaying the amazing night we had if I had to say that it was good. It was more close to great & perhaps one of the best parties I have had in a long time. We arrived early on the night to decorate the room a bit – their bar back was extremely helpful & the staff on the night just perfect. Our food was laid out & looked amazing, the DJ was churning out some great tracks – they even gave us glow sticks to dance away with! & everyone I spoke to were having a brilliant night. Since it is open late till 3pm, the bar catered perfectly to some of my working friends who came in later in the night. Most of us stayed right up to the very end, quite drunk on those amazing cocktails and professing…
