Corsica’s history is tied up with both France and Italy and cuisine sits somewhere between the two, as evidenced by this small local pizzeria. Classic toppings have been given a French accent; mozzarella is replaced by Gruyère in the margherita while the four cheeses has the benefit of Roquefort and Gruyère alongside more traditional goats’ cheese and mozzarella. Other unusual offerings include the Habibi, which is topped with halal lamb merguez sausage, in keeping with the restaurant’s Corsican origins. There’s no booking but the turnover is quick enough to keep the waiting to a minimum, and there are extra seats outside when the weather’s good enough.
