About

Housed in the old Commonwealth Bank of Australian, this traditional brasserie style restaurant serves up tasty British nosh with a fusion twist. The comfortable seating, stylish interiors and buzzy atmosphere makes for a great culinary experience.

Opening at 7am (perfect for meetings, it is in the financial centre after all) start your day off with Browns traditional breakfast. Go for their take on the classic benny, royale and Florentine or go for the Instagram favourite smashed avocado with a variety of different toppings. Accompany your breakfast with one of their fruit smoothies to start your day off right.

If you aren’t one for a big breakfast, the all-day menu will insure that there is something you will enjoy. Try the Lancashire hotpot from its lunch menu or the lobster risotto, steak and Guinness pie or mussels and fries from the a la carte menu.

If you are looking for an afternoon treat, try their traditional British afternoon tea. Starting with salt beef and mustard rolls, smoked salmon sandwiches, cream tea and a selection of its mini cakes and puddings. It may not sound like a lot of food but this will keep you full all the way through to dinner. Feel like making it boozy? You can add a glass of champagne, or a gin and tonic.

Enjoy this traditional British food in a luxurious setting with art deco touches and glamourous features. Or enjoy a drink at the sophisticated bar area. With lots of specialty cocktails, like the rhubarb and cucumber collins, to choose from and an extensive wine list you will be occupied until closing.

Whatever time of day you decided to visit Browns you can guarantee a good quality, no fuss, and hearty meal in a great setting. Everything you could ask for from a brasserie restaurant.

Not great. Starter returned as was cold. Calamari was chewy. Not great service. Would not recommend.

Equally welcoming as all restaurants in its chain, Browns Old Jewry occupies a lovely space in the heart of London's City. Comfy cushioned seating lets you relax as you munch on your juicy steak or indulge in a delicious afternoon tea. Good value food and drinks make this restaurant a great dining option for all occasions.
