With its dedication to British produce, cricket pavilion-inspired interiors and magnificent views of Tower Bridge, there’s no mistaking the allegiance of Butlers Wharf Chop House. Its enviable location and stylish interiors aren’t all this London venue has going for it though – it also boasts a 60-capacity terrace overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge, making it a superb location for a Champagne reception in the summer months.
Wedding receptions can be held in the bar and grill (which can accommodate up to 45 seated or 100 standing guests, plus a dance-floor later in the evening), as well as in the 140-capacity restaurant. The bar can also be hired separately for drinks receptions and comes complete with its own private bar and outside area. It’s not licensed for ceremonies, but its prime location means there are plenty of places to wed nearby before heading to the restaurant for the reception.
The interiors are light-filled and stylish, with wooden tables, chairs, pillars and banquette seating that can be dressed however you like. The events team at Butlers Wharf Chop House are on hand to help with table plans and decorations, should you need them, but generally you will have free reign to customise the space however you like.
The venue also offers help with tailored menus, so you can be sure to have the wedding breakfast you want. Choose from hot and cold canapés, market stall style buffet stations if you’d like to add a bit of theatre to your wedding reception or a sit-down meal matched with a broad range of British beers, ales, wines and cocktails.
The kitchen, led by head chef Behzad Gotla, specialises in grass-fed Speyside Angus steaks, spit-roasted chicken, and fresh fish and chips, but can create a bespoke menu for your big day, keeping all your guests’ dietary requirements in mind.
