Five minutes from the train station and close to some of Yorkshire’s most esteemed nightspots, Malmaison Leeds is resident in what used to be the city’s Tramways Office. It has 100 modern bedrooms and suites, as well as a sleek basement bar and adjoining brasserie. The hotel has some big guns on the events front too. There’s a private dining room for 12 and, for larger events, a choice of Mals 1 through 4, each offering a slightly different take on the traditional function room. Take Mal 2 and Mal 3 together to create space for 80 delegates theatre style. When it’s time to break out or just break off, the Chateau Lounge has some very comfy sofas.
