One of England’s most popular museums outside of
London, the National Railway Museum in York is the
largest of its kind in the world. It houses a colourful
collection of locomotives alongside smart, modern
function spaces. The Great Hall accommodates up to
1,000 guests and features a railway bridge and gates
that were formerly used at Euston station. Guests
can dine among Royal Carriages in the atmospheric
Edwardian Station Hall that has a capacity of 800. Six
separate spaces accommodate up to 100 delegates for
meetings. For fine dining, there’s the beautifully restored
rail carriage Countess of York that opened in 2015.
