Bibendum (Michelin House, 81 Fulham Road, London, SW3 6RD)

The food was good, it just wasn't great. Very nice wines, service was good but there was something about it that didnt blow me away. Very pricey but they really do feed you – huge portions. Felt quite ill when I left but felt a bit guilty too as I didnt manage to finish anything. Nothing wrong with it but it just did nothing to excite me. Full of tourists too.

Bentley's (11-15 Swallow Street, London, W1B 4DG)

Great food, lovely place – staff are shocking. Rude, un-attentive and un-professional. We were left sitting for over an HOUR between main course and our plates being collected in time for dessert. Even after excusing ourselves on several occiasions to our waitress (and other peoples waitresses) and requesting the dessert menu we were just ignored. Actually got up, left and complained to Maitre'D who was confused when we came down to front door and asked for our bill. We were given a discount and an incentive to visit again but we do not plan to. Service ruined a fantastic meal – not idea what dessert's are like but can highly recommend everything we were served!

Rhodes Twenty Four (24th Floor, Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1HQ)

Amazing. Food was perfect – Foie Gras, followed by Skate Wings (OMG amazing!) and then the signature pudding selection. Would quite happily eat here everyday for the rest of my life. Service was so attentive but not annoyingly so. Views were fabulous. Atmosphere a little bit stuffy … but that was mainly because we were stuck next to a table of grump Americans. Absolutely wonderful evening had by all – make sure you have a few glasses of bubbly in Vertigo 42 before you come here for dinner!!

Chez Bruce (2 Bellevue Road, London, SW17 7EG)

They do pack you in a bit – had to listen to the couple next to us and their latest drama's with her mother (albeit rather amusing drama's!) but it didnt detract from what is still a fantastic little restaurant. Food was great, good selection, exceptionally high quality and plenty of it. Nightmare to get a reservation here so book well in advance. Enjoyed it immensely – was very busy and staff weren't always as attentive as we'd hope but would def return. Bill was exceptionally reasonable too.
