Read the thread 1 June 2011I had my hen night at Levant, a fab middle eastern place behind Oxford St where I've been to time and time over – it never fails to impress and the belly dancers arrive at 9pm onwards, for some extra fun – I'm sure your hens will get you up there dancing too!
Food is great and with a group they do a feast menu (set menu) which provides more than enough food and is easier to split the bill. They also have a fortune teller from time to time.
Book the private dining area, which is nicely screened off, for a bit of privacy. We were meant to go on to a club afterwards but were having so much fun, the furthest we moved was to the bar for their lovely cocktails.
Note: Their sister restaurant is Kenza in Liverpool St, but this is way more expensive and I didn't find the service or food to be great either.
Another idea I looked at was the Volupte Club (for supper and a Burlesque show).
Good luck and have fun! More
Read the thread February 2010Hi,
Why not try Dans Le Noir – the restaurant where you eat in pitch black in order for your senses to focus on the food – taste and smell. I've not been myself but hear about it all the time. For more run of the mill stuff there's momo's tea room if you want to be transported to warmer N. African climbs. For a bit of belly dancing action whilst you dine, there's kenza, levant and the like. More
Read the thread July 2009Agree with the rest Saf is the only mainstream vegan restaurant I'm aware of bar the small eateries and cafes. If your after afternoon tea – Bea's of Bloomsbury does a nice selection of vegan and definitely non-vegan cakes (both types are scrumptious). Otherwise for evening dining other than Saf there is a vegetarian place called Vanilla black in the city, which I now believe is open on saturdays – they may do vegan on request. More
Read the thread July 2009My partner once took me to a fab place called Terre a Terre in Brighton a few years ago. It is a vegetarian restaurant I believe, but if your open minded and love great food you won't be disppointed. Its got a great laid back yet pleasing on the eye atmosphere. Desserts were amazing and staff were friendly too. If I remember correctly there is a conservatory area which would be great for larger parties. Good luck. More
