Trishna (15-17 Blandford Street, London, London, W1U 3DG) We visited Trishna on Monday 23rd November for a 10 year reunion. We had the private dining room and sampled the innovative 3 courses for £25 menu, which allowed you to have 3 items from the menu + rice and bread – incredible value! It also included a glass of prosecco and a dessert (although most of us didn't have room!) The rest of the restaurant was very busy (on a monday night!!) – so book early to avoid disappointment. The menu had 3 sections, starters, mains and vegetarian dishes – we could pick 3 from any section – thus meaning if we wanted 3 mains, we could have done! This menu was EXCELLENT value! I had the lamp chops (additional supplement of £1 per piece, totally worth it! I had 2) Seafood biryani and paneer. It was so tasty – flavoursome and really different to ordinary indian food found in the UK. This is probably because this restaurant takes it flavours from India as opposed to Bangladesh, the origins of many UK curry houses. The private dining room was classy and elegant – grey slated tiles surrounded the beautiful rectangle table capable of holding up to 10 diners. We could see the wine cekllar and were given our own private waiter for the evening too. Staff were friendly from start to finish. We were not rushed and our food was served in a prompt and timely manner so that we could enjoy our evening and focus on catching up over fab food. I also heard that Frieda Pinto came to this restaurant TWICE in 5 days when she visited the UK as she loved the food so much! Definitely recommend this restaurant to all!
