Overlooking the Carmarthenshire coastline, Stradey Park is an attractive Edwardian mansion hotel. Its homely surrounds draw the weekenders as well as boardroom retreats, though larger events can also be catered for in the 400-capacity Alexander Suite. The Samphires Restaurant – a bright space known for its sea views – looks after all catering across the site, majoring in locally sourced produce. The 82 comfortable bedrooms are well equipped, with the recently refurbished Club Rooms ideal for business guests, as they offer free Wi-Fi and spacious desks. Helpful front desk staff can assist with tickets to local events – rugby at Llanelli and horse racing at Ffos Las racecourse, for example – and the hotel has ‘pay and play’ arrangements with a number of excellent golf clubs nearby. Guests also have access to the nearby Monks Health Club, five minutes from the Hotel, which has a gym and spa.
