The Ballroom at Warren House - 'Get A Room' from Square Meal The Magazine, Summer 2006 Information:
With its dripping chandeliers, stunning period features on the ceilings, heavy, draped curtains and brand-new turquoise carpets, it’s easy to see why the Regency-style Ballroom at Warren House is
such a popular events space for both corporate and private functions. Its deep bay windows look out onto the four-acre garden, making you feel as though you’re miles away from London, even though
the dedicated conference venue is situated just five miles from the capital.
In the early 1900s, this impressive country house was owned by Sir Arthur Paget. The Ballroom was among many grand features to be added during his tenancy. It was modelled on the Hall of Mirrors at
the Palace of Versailles and, as Sir Arthur was a close friend of the royal family, it has hosted many a regal dinner. Edward VII, Queen Alexandra, George V and Queen Mary, who frequently stayed at
the house on private visits, have all been entertained here. The Ballroom may be obviously suited to glamorous drinks receptions and wedding ceremonies, but the space is surprisingly flexible, and
a wide range of technical equipment, including hidden built-in screens, AV equipment, teleconferencing and Wifi also makes it suitable for presentations.
