Burlesque Soirée at The GoreIf you don't have plans for tonight, pop down to Bar 190 at The Gore Hotel, where an intimate burlesque soirée is taking place from 8pm-1am. Burlesque attire is not essential, but strongly encouraged! The Gore’s specially created Supper Club in the Tapestry Room will also be open for dinner all evening.

Mask Bought by ConcertoNews just in: the creative event organising firm Mask has been bought by The Concerto Group for an undisclosed sum. The deal secures all Mask's 2008 Christmas events at the popular Truman Brewery, and the company's flamboyant managing director, Arthur Somerset, has been retained as a consultant.

Horsing Around400-capacity venue The Hoxton Pony rode into town last night, bringing a successful mix of edgy, modern design to Shoreditch. A team of top mixologists have created delicious cocktails using freshly-made syrups and purees, while food has been inspired by 'east end grub' - think pies and mash, jellied eels and pig's head terrine.
Champions League Private Screening

Red Carnation Blooms in GuernseyKeep an eye on Guernsey: Red Carnation Hotels has just purchased The Old Government House Hotel, in St. Peter Port. The 63-bedroom Hotel is the most historically famous in the Channel Islands, dating back to 1858, and Carnation is undertaking a sympathetic restoration programme, with the hotel remaining open throughout.
Entertain at the Tower
European Events has won the contract to host summer parties at the Tower of London from June to July 2009. Centred around the historic moat, their marquee in the North Moat will hold 800 seated or 1,200 for a reception and a garden reception area is planned for the West Moat.
