The general manager at No.4 Hamilton place tells us more about his venue.

My name is Jonathan Morris
I am the general manager at No.4 Hamilton Place.
I have worked at this venue for the last seven years.
I’m still here because my chief executive lets me run the venue my way.
They call me Mr Attention to detail.
I’ve now been in the events industry for 20 years – I know, I don’t look old enough...
My first event was a funeral wake for 400 guests for the late Sir Joseph Nickerson, who founded Cherry Valley Ducks.
I’ll always remember that, in this industry, you are as only as good as your last thank-you letter.
The most valuable lesson I have learnt so far is that people will always buy into people.
My venue works best for conferences for up to 250 people, plus fabulous cocktail parties and barbecues on our terrace.
People always comment on the venue’s fantastic views across Hyde Park and beyond.
I particularly like the terrace. I have been evolving it for the past six years along with my landscape gardener, Ben McDonald.
I’d use it for weddings, barbecues or cocktail parties.
If I could change anything about this place, I’d install a bigger lift as the one we’ve got now is a bit too compact and bijou.
My favorite lunch spot around here is Le Boudin Blanc. It’s a Parisian-style bistro that has lots of atmosphere and fantastic food.
The best pub nearby? I don’t do pubs, so it would have to be the Zeta bar at the Hilton Park Lane
After an event, you’ll find me at J Sheekey with my celebrity friends.
When I need inspiration, I visit boutique-style hotels, because their attention to detail is just about second to none.
Later this year I’m looking forward to taking five weeks off at Christmas to manage my pantomime, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. It will be on at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
In 10 years I’ll be splitting my time between my own businesses and my charity work.
I still want to work for Madonna.
My famous last words will be ‘Is the client happy?’
