Theatre bar
A distinctive timber-framed presence on Bankside, Shakespeare’s Globe is a careful reconstruction of the 16th-century open-air theatre where the Bard staged many of his works. Various atmospheric spaces play host to anything from dinner for 70 in the gorgeous Balcony Room, which has private balconies and views across to St Paul’s, to receptions for 400 in the Underglobe, a purpose-built event space beneath the theatre itself, which can also host dinners for up to 350. Catering, by The Swan, is of a high standard throughout, with various canapé and bowl food options. The venue team works closely with the theatre to tailor entertainment, music and lighting to each event.
