Middle Temple Hall Information:

One of the finest Elizabethan halls in the country, Middle Temple Hall’s original oak roof & stained glass windows have provided the backdrop for a number of famous period films. It’s easy to see why – the building (built on a site originally owned by the Knights Templar) is simply brimming with historical significance. The 32-person Bench Table in the Hall, which is made from 29ft planks of a single oak tree, is believed to be a gift from Elizabeth I & was floated down the Thames from Windsor Forest. While the atmospheric main hall is a treat for warmly lit winter events, the venue’s award-winning historic garden is also available for alfresco receptions & garden parties.
