The rolling Malvern Hills make a charming backdrop for Stanbrook Abbey, the former home of a community of Benedictine nuns. In July 2012, the venue opened to the public following a large-scale
renovation project. Among the wedding spaces is the gothic Callow Hall, which was the former chapel – its organ and pews are still in place. The arched ceilings and stained-glass windows make it a
dramatic setting for receptions, while the Thompson Dining Hall works for up to 80. As you might expect, the abbey also has a functioning on-site chapel, allowing you to hold your entire wedding in
the grounds. Also part of the refurb was Brides House, a Georgian manor house built with nuptials in mind – it even has a purpose-built dressing room, as well as five bedrooms. Wedding packages
start at £90pp.
