Approached down a long wooded drive, Hedsor House is a magnificent Georgian country mansion set in 100 acres of rolling parkland. Originally built in 1868, Hedsor dominates the local landscape, making it a striking setting for weddings. However, despite its grandness, interiors feel homely, from the airy Phillip Suite to the clubby wood-panelled Library and the sweeping Ballroom, which can accommodate civil ceremonies for up to 180 guests. There is also a beautiful 12th-century church just 300 metres from the house, should you prefer a religious ceremony, while the extensive grounds and manicured gardens provide ample space for summer drinks receptions and barbecues. The property is only 40 minutes from central London, close to both the M4 and the M40 and easily accessible from Heathrow.
