Located in the historic market town of Midhurst, The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa is a historic property set amid beautiful West Sussex countryside. Parts of the hotel date back to 1430 and original features abound, from inglenook fireplaces and Tudor bread ovens to Flemish stained-glass windows and oak beams. Each of the hotel’s 39 bedrooms is individually designed, and the Queen’s Suite is said to have accommodated Elizabeth I. The largest of the venue’s six function rooms is the impressive Jacobean Hall, which has stone walls, heraldic banners and a minstrel’s gallery. This space can seat 90 guests for dinner. The Polo Room is another stand-out area, more suited to seminars with its high vaulted ceiling and natural daylight. Guests in need of some R&R should check out the Scandinavian-style Aquila Spa, which features an indoor pool, gym and numerous treatment rooms.
