Venue Review of The Old Jameson Distillery, Dublin
No longer a working distillery, The Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin is now one of Ireland’s top visitor attractions – and a popular venue for events. The entire site can be hired exclusively for up to 350 guests, while three areas are available for individual bookings, providing an atmospheric backdrop of copper pot stills, glass floors and wooden beams. JJ’s Bar, which takes up to 250, is a great space for cocktail receptions, while the 300-seater Sine Metu Suite makes a good setting for themed Irish Nights with live entertainment. For informal entertaining, the 1780 Bar, one of the city’s hidden gems, can seat 50 for dinner, drinks and folk music – your own private pub. Kick off your evening with a tour of the carefully restored distillery. Guests can sip a signature drink while guides take them through the story of whiskey making, before enjoying a four-course meal accompanied by live entertainment.
