Located within the Hertfordshire countryside yet just a 20-minute train ride from central London, this white-walled Georgian country house was once the home of Lord Mountbatten. Now decorated in a bright, contemporary style, the property offers 129 comfortable bedrooms including 16 mews apartments. Its 19 meeting rooms are well appointed, many with private terraces overlooking the picturesque gardens, making Sopwell House an excellent venue for both boardroom retreats and large conferences. The self-contained conference centre also benefits from its own reception area. The Country Club offers 12 treatment rooms, two gyms and a dance studio, as well as a swimming pool, glass-fronted sauna, steam room and heated mosaic seat. Modern British and European cuisine is served in the venue’s fine-dining restaurant, while a more informal dining experience is available in the stylish Brasserie.
