Dating back to 1270, Hever Castle is best known for being the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the most famous of Henry VIII’s ill-fated wives. Today, Hever Castle and the adjacent Astor Wing are available on an exclusive-use basis for private and corporate events. Groups have their pick of the spaces. The light-filled rooms of the Tudor Suite, located in the Astor Wing overlooking the formal lawns, make lovely settings for drinks receptions. Formal banquets, however, are best held in the castle’s magnificent Dining Hall and Inner Hall, both with carved minstrels’ galleries. Set in the 600-acre grounds, the Guthrie Pavilion is the castle’s largest and newest event space. In the summer months, drinks receptions can be held on the Italian Loggia overlooking the 38-acre lake, against the beautiful backdrop of the Italian Gardens. Free Wi-Fi, a heated swimming pool and 21 bedrooms are further assets.
