The world-famous Blenheim Palace is a stunning baroque palace set in more than 2,000 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Arriving is one of the highlights of a Christmas party here, as guests glimpse the dramatic façade of the palace, a World Heritage Site. Once inside, choose from two stand-out function rooms, which will be hosting festive celebrations this year. The elegant Orangery, which overlooks the Italian Garden, holds up to 228 seated guests or 300 for a reception, while the double-vaulted Marlborough Room, with stunning chandeliers and a huge fireplace, is a more traditional setting for a dinner for 60. There is also a series of smaller rooms for private dining events. Packages for 2012 start from £67pp for shared or exclusive nights. Also on offer is a festive afternoon tea from £24pp, lunches from £38.50 and party nights in January.
