When the people behind the classy, art deco-inspired Brooklands Hotel in Surrey promised a trackside property, they weren’t kidding. In fact, it even has a piece of the original Brooklands motor racing circuit running through its reception, while visitors to its sleek spa get a bird’s-eye view of the action on today’s track from an elevated hot tub. The curvy building, which sits right next to Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, five minutes from the M25 and a 30-minute train ride from London Waterloo, also brings the racing theme indoors, with all manner of ‘movement’ forming the central theme for its design scheme. Nine meeting suites of varying sizes (the largest seating 175 theatre style) are set around their own lobby area and transform beautifully into social space for evening events. There is also a great restaurant, large suites with trackside balconies and free Wi-Fi throughout.
