This beautiful Victorian mansion is set amid 186 acres of landscaped Sussex countryside, with pristine lawns, secret gardens, lakes and woodland trails through Ashdown Forest. Popular with weekenders (there’s golf, tennis, a gym and a spa on site), the hotel is nevertheless serious about corporate events, offering modern facilities and sharp service to complement the stately surrounds. Sixteen fully equipped suites and syndicate rooms cater for conferences, banqueting and wedding receptions, ranging in capacity from eight for a boardroom meeting to 150 for dinner. Each of the 106 bedrooms and suites has its own distinctive charm and the hotel’s Anderida Restaurant, together with its cellar of fine wines, enjoys an excellent reputation. Like its sister venues in the Elite Hotels group, Ashdown Park is conveniently placed for delegates arriving from further afield – Gatwick is less than half an hour’s drive away.
