Taking its name from the mechanical model of the solar system, it figures that The Orrery, on Marylebone High Street, takes its interior inspiration from an observatory. A gold-ringed armillary
sphere – on loan from the Greenwich Maritime Museum – flanks the entrance of the restaurant. Sunlight beams through large windows, into the clean-cut minimalist dining room where banquette seating
is divided by wooden screens, offering privacy for groups. An elegant PDR seats 18 guests and matches the refined French menu that features the likes of black truffle risotto and foie gras with
apple chutney. Outside, expect a less formal offering on the 70-capacity covered terrace.
