The Churchill War Rooms, located in the Treasury building’s basement in Whitehall, is arguably the most historically important site in wartime politics and a suitably weighty venue for high-powered
meetings. It is from here that Churchill directed much of WWII and many of the artefacts on display are exactly as they were left when the war ended in 1945 – down to the remains of a charred
cigar. Meeting facilities comprise the HCA Auditorium, enhanced by discreet but modern AV facilities, the atmospheric Harmsworth Room and intimate Switch Room, which combine to hold events for 400
guests. The venue recently upgraded its entrance, making for a more impressive arrival.
