Met Bar, the legendary 90s late-night destination, was given a sleek new look a couple of years ago. Light pours through a new glass wall onto the lava stone bar and chic wood and leather interior.
There’s original artwork too, in the form of 3D dancing figures on the walls, by young British designer Giles Miller. Our favourite feature, though, is the private booth that seats eight. The
notorious ‘members-only’ door policy is long gone, and the all-day British menu is equally relaxed. We particularly like the kitchen’s modern take on afternoon tea for daytime meeting and
entertaining. The bar can accommodate 150 for an exclusive party and is open until 2am most nights.
