The hotly anticipated Ametsa with Arzak Instruction opened at The Halkin in 2013, replacing the longstanding
Nahm. As the first outpost of the three-Michelin-starred Arzak in San Sebastian, it is run by a team including Elena Arzak, who has been voted ‘World’s Best Female Chef’ by Restaurant magazine.
Ametsa, which now holds its own Michelin star, serves Arzak’s innovative ‘new Basque’ cuisine, pairing the earthy flavours of the Spanish region with cutting-edge cooking techniques. Decorated in
the same contemporary style as the restaurant itself, the 24-seater PDR can be hired together with the handsome main room, bringing the reception capacity to 100 guests.
