Zuma is for those who have more money to burn than sense. It is overpriced, overstaffed by people who think they are good and efficient, but who are not. The food was average and the value for money was ludicrously poor. As for the service, I came with my partner and out of the three items she ordered, one came on time, one was late arriving and the other needed to be reordered because they forgot. The service was very slow.
As for the interior, it was like being in a car park with tables – very industrial looking. If it is trying to be an upmarket restaurant, the owners need to look at NOBU which is expensive, but good. However, there are much better places where the food is a whole lot better and a lot less expensive. Try NANBUTEI in Baker Street and pay £49 for two and get good, honest Japanese cuisine.
For a Japanese restaurant, with very few Japanese staff working there, it was very poor. We will not be wasting our money there again.
