I dined here on Saturday night with a friend and I have to say it was one of the best meals I have had so far this year. I eat out regularly and I thought it was worth a try.
The service was impeccable from the moment you enter the restaurant, you are welcomed and immediately offered drinks whilst olives are brought to your table. Our drinks were a little delayed and we were give these complimentary which we thought was a lovely touch. The canapes were sublime… The menu was explained to us, they were quick to point out that the Dover Sole was being subsituted for lemon sole and the reasons for this. Each course was clearly explained to us as it was placed in front of us.
The menu itself is gorgeous, it was hard to choose what to eat, each dish looked beautiful and had been presented with care. The flavours were a lovely balance, this combined with the textures made a perfect dish.
I would wholly recommend the quail, scallops, sole and turbot… I am not going to explain them too much as it would spoil the fun for when you try it.
£45 for 3 courses including canapes, amuse bouche and a pre desert is money well spent!
This restaurant gets 10/10. The only fault that I can note is that the entrance is a little small and so when you enter the restuarant you are straight at the tiny bar.
