Finding ourselves visiting Westminster again last week and knowing The Cinnamon club was close by, we just could not walk passed the former library building without checking if they could feed us. About 20% of the tables were occupied and I was seated at the rear banquette looking towards the front of the building. Personally, I did not find the room inspiring, but it is no doubt a grand space in an under-stated way. Service was very good and the appetiser set us off to a good start. Every single morsel which passed our lips was carefully and lovingly spiced so as to enhance the ingredients and provide us with delight. I have the utmost respect for a chef who can make so many ingredients in each dish result in interesting, fresh, modern cooking. Chicken was the stand out dish for me and the black lentils were divine.
One of the best and most memorable Indian meals we have had in a good while. It seems rightfully revered, and deserving of recognition as judged by so many here on SqM.
