I had high hopes for this place given the pedigree of its founders. I am a big fan of zuma and was actually shocked when I found out Oblix was not Japanese .
Of course the view is stunning , and its worth going for a drink but other than that there is nothing worth going back for.
There are loads of staff which should equate to good service , but instead they all run around like headless chickens not knowing whether they are coming or going.
I ate in the lounge side of the place which has the audacity to charge a £12 cover charge per person for the privilege of sitting there even when you are spending over £60 pp for dinner.
I had a yellowtail sashimi to start which was a bit stodgy and flavourless. Followed by a steak. The rib eye was the saving grace of the meal – it was actually very good. A side jacket potato was completely roar inside .
My girlfriend ordered tiger prawns .. or should I say tiger prawn. This was a main course dish for £23 which consists of 1 .. yes 1 prawn which is quite frankly a joke , especially as it is advertised as plural on the menu.
In short – go once , have a drink enjoy the view, leave and don't bother returning
