Good restaurant but still has a few service teething problems to sort out. This restaurant has the brilliant views you would expect and you will not be disappointed as each table is no more than about 7 metres from the giant windows. The food is nice but nothing special and in line with the prices.
Area's to improve are: I booked a private dining room table for six. When I arrived I was not given a private dining room. This was important as it was a special occasion. I asked about an empty private dining room and was told it was booked. During the 2 hours I was there no one occupied this room so I felt let down and somewhat deceived. I recommend if you book a private dining room over the phone you ask explicitly for a room next to the windows. Some rooms are semi-private on a rasied platform further away from the windows.
We ordered one white wine and one red. On both occasions the wine that arrived was one year younger than advertised. When I pointed this out the waiter apologised and said printing error. For me this was not good enough when the restaurant is only 3 weeks old and set a good reputation. It's easy to print a piece of paper.
Finally when we finished our meal we informed the waiter we would go through to the bar area to admire the views and asked for the bill to be continued in the bar. At this point there was a mix up with the staff with 50% saying this was OK and we should go through to the bar. The other 50% that we had to pay now and start a new tab in the bar. Needless to say having spent £500 I expected better service. So I paid and we left.
Overall a good food and great views but beware the detail is missing in the service.
