It ain't a bistrot for no reason, as the diners are certainly encouraged to get on with their ordering and the food. The waiter came over at least a few times during the meal enquiring if we were done, and once tried to take away our cheese, which we had to rescue from the encroach.
However, the food was very good indeed, the snails for starters were plump and juicy and the calf/veal liver I had was superb. the cheeses were likewise excellent, although for not being introduced, we half guessed what they were, assuming them all to be French. Conclusion: would be almost perfect with better service.
