As you walk out the lifts the views as you walk into the bar, down a staircase, are spectacular; the double height ceiling works really well. Although only half the way up the tower, you have the whole of London within your eye line, while still being at one of the heights points. Headed to the bar, one of our group ordered after about 5 minutes of waiting, while the rest of us perused the excellent and quite unusual cocktail menu (peanut butter and jagermeister cocktail). Behind the bar it was very frantic, with about 10 bartenders but seemingly very little organisation. After another 20 odd minutes, and 3 trips to the window to admire the view we finally got to ordered the other drinks after numerous attempts to get one of the waiters attention (who then forgot the order). When the cocktails eventually arrived they were pretty good.
Got shown to our table, ordered some bread which was forgotten about until we reminded the waitress. The menu is great, one of the few times I've found it harder to choose my main instead of the starter. Mains ~£30, Starters ~£10, Wine ~£40. I struggle to see how something so simple as service is so often done poorly, fortunately it wasn't too bad here, just wasn't quite as polished as I would expect. Would highly recommend it, great place for a special occasion or if fancy treating a date to something a bit more fancy.
