Introducing Thirty One, Plymouth's exciting new culinary gem, where fine dining meets laid-back elegance. Nestled within the former Rock Salt Cafe, this dining haven was born in November 2023 under the culinary wizardry of Head Chef Lee and the artistry of Sous Chef Chloe.
Chef Lee's journey is nothing short of remarkable, having served seven years in the Royal Navy before embarking on a culinary adventure in the Cotswolds, where he honed his skills in the kitchens of prestigious 2 and 3 rosette hotels. Now, he's back in Plymouth after being at the helm of The Greedy Goose & The Croft.
Chloe's culinary odyssey began at Plymouth City College, and she sweetened her culinary expertise as the Pastry Chef at The Greedy Goose. From there, she took charge of the kitchen and front of house at The Croft, showcasing her multifaceted talents.
But the magic doesn't end in the kitchen. Enter Sam, the virtuoso behind the bar. With a resume glittering with experience from some of the UK's most renowned establishments, he's here to craft a beverage menu that will tantalize your taste buds, using only the finest supplies available.
At Thirty One, every element, from the culinary craft in the kitchen to the artistry at the bar, comes together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Prepare to be dazzled.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKING POLICY
For reservations with us, you will be required to secure your reservation with a credit/debit card. No money will be taken from your card at the time of booking. However, please be aware of the following:
1. If you fail to cancel your booking within 24 hours;
2. If you do not inform the restaurant of the reduced number in attendees 24 hours prior to the reservation,
3. Or if you fail to attend your reservation, we reserve the right to charge your card £15.00 per person for ‘no show’.
How is your credit/debit card data stored?
We use an external company, which is fully PCI compliant, to store all the card details on their system. Those details are temporarily held on their database. Once the booking has taken place, the data is removed from the system. This is in Accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
FOOD ALLERGIES
We require 24 hours notice to cater for all allergies or dietary requirements.
PARTY & CELEBRATIONS
We are happy to cater for all birthdays and celebrations but decorations must be arranged prior to your event. Much as we love glitter and confetti, it is very difficult to clean and use is not permitted anywhere at Thirty One
You are welcome to bring your own cake (and take away what's left), but there will be a standard charge of £5 pp.
Alternateively, we'd love to make the cake for you. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
MOBILITY ACCESS / DOG & GUIDE DOG POLICY
Our toilets can not be accessed by wheelchair users.
Customers with mobility issues are advised our toilets are accessed by a set of stairs.
Animals are not accepted in the dining areas unless assisting guests.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift vouchers issued by Thirty One are non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift vouchers are also not redeemable for cash or credit.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE RESTURANT?
We do not provide children's menus. We can offer our menu are a reduced size and price. We ask if dining with children they remain seated at all times.
Unfortunately due to our restaurant layout we can not allow prams next to tables.
BOOKING SLOTS
All lunch bookings are allocated a 2 hour sitting and dinner bookings for 7pm and prior to are allocated a 2 hour sitting after which the table will be required back unless prior arrangements have been made with the restaurant for the table to be held longer. We will always do our best to accommodate requests for this but cannot guarantee such requests.
Sunday Lunch bookings are allocated 1 and a half hour after which we shall require the table back.
