Jalisco is a family run restaurant that has been serving up warm and hearty Latin American inspired dishes in the heart of Brixton for the last 14 years. Jalisco is the passion of husband and wife team Wilson and Carolina, Wilson trained as a chef in London, and his ambition is to bring a genuine flavour of Venezuelan warmth and hospitality to South London.

They were first drawn to the neighbourhood over 19 years ago because of the people and community – and the positive vibe and sense of belonging that they feel here! Their aim has always been to offer delicious comfort food that is great value, and served the authentic Latin American way with the minimum of fuss.

Wilson and Carolina are proud to share their love of Latin cuisine and culture, and to offer a menu of Venezuelan and regional Central American classics, infused with traditional ingredients and using time honoured family recipes that have been honed to perfection over several generations.

Wilson’s mother Marlene is a regular fixture in the kitchen and you have to try her slow cooked carne merchada!

We’ve thrown a few parties in our time & we’d love to host your special event! It doesn’t matter if it’s a birthday, hen party, stag do, anniversary, reunion or simply celebrating an achievement, we have the perfect space for you – either in Brixton or Loughborough Junction!

In Brixton, we have an upstairs space for your private event for 28 seated or 40 standing, complete with your own private bar and cocktail maestro! We can throw a cocktail master class, or drinks and nibbles, or a full-on feast for you!

Also in Brixton, during the week when you need a spot to hold a business or community meeting, then look no further. It is ideal for a business meeting or presentation off site, a less formal and creative atmosphere or a meeting for your group – book worms, community group, club, class, workshop, knitting circle, or even an iguana appreciation society… we have the space, we can provide coffee, tea, nibbles, tequila shots and we have a TV screen to boot! ,

In Loughborough Junction, we have our covered outside space in the garden for 42 seated or 65 standing (don’t worry we have heaters for winter events). More details coming soon!

Our staff are on site from 9am onwards 7 days a week, so if you have a special requirement then don’t be shy, let us know! We can do brunch, lunch, afternoon nibbles, cocktails or dinner!
