Taka & Charlotte Nakamoto have brought more than a flavour of Japan to the provincial backwaters of the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. Realising the tastes of their locals might need some convincing, they specialise in hot cooked & cold marinated dishes such as tempura, teriyaki, soba noodles, gyoza dumplings & sesame chicken kebabs. However, to get their fix of nigiri, maki & gunkan, raw fish lovers can arrange their visit for the one week a month when the Nakamotos operate their sushi & sashimi menu. The period townhouse setting combines English beamed, red brick charm alongside plenty of decorative touches from the Land of the Rising Sun. Don’t forget to enjoy a glass or two from their food-matching worldly wine selections & the native drinks list offering a superb array of shochu, sake & ume shu.
